Note: In order to set up this integration, you must be designated as the data owner on your Seated account. Please reach out to [email protected] if you want to request this designation.
Note: When collecting data through Seated, emails and phone numbers are processed through two separate opt-in processes. If you want the external source that you're connecting via custom webhook to ingest both emails and phone numbers, you'll need to configure two custom webhooks—one for emails, and one for phone numbers.
Steps
Log into your Seated dashboard here, select your profile, and navigate to the “Integrations” tab.
Scroll down to the “Available Integrations” section to find the option for "Webhook." Click “Create.”
Use information from the external source you'd like to connect to populate info in the "URL," "header name," "header value," and "payload" fields.
Click the "Test Webhook" button to test your configuration. You should receive a confirmation message on Seated if the connection to your external source is successful. You can also confirm whether the connection is working by checking to see if the test payload is successfully passed along to your external source.
Once you successfully test your webhook, click "Continue" and follow the remaining instructions to complete setting up your webhook.
