When you have fans who bought tickets to your sold out show but can no longer attend, Seated’s resale exchange empowers them to sell their tickets to other fans on your waitlist at face value or less. See below for instructions on how to activate the exchange.
Note: At this time, Seated’s fan-to-fan resale exchange is only available for sold out North American shows ticketed by Ticketmaster and AXS. We will support more ticketing platforms and more regions in the future.
Steps
Log into your Seated dashboard here, select your profile, and navigate to the “Events” tab.
Locate the event on which you’d like to enable the resale exchange and click on the pencil icon next to that event in order to begin editing it.
Scroll down to the “Ticket Availability” section and mark the show as “Sold Out.”
Within the box that says “Turn on a waitlist,” switch the toggle to the “on” position. This will allow you to collect the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of fans who would be interested in buying tickets if they were to become available.
Within the box that says “Turn on fan exchange,” switch the toggle to the “on” position. This will allow fans who can no longer attend your show to sell their tickets to fans on your waitlist.
Visit the area of your website where your tour listings are displayed. For the show on which you enabled the resale exchange, you should now see two buttons: one that says “Sell Tickets,” and another that says “Join Waitlist.” If you do not see a “Sell Tickets” button, you’ll need to install the latest version of Seated on your website. See here for instructions on how to do so.
Fans will now be able to sell their tickets to that show to fans on that show’s waitlist if they can no longer attend.
